*65

Heard this on the radio today.
Someone suggested that folks (teens in particular) could press *65 on their cell phone when they are driving. What would this do? It would make it so that (1) text messages would not come through while they were driving down the road and (2) a text response would be sent back to the originator letting them know that they were driving and couldn’t respond.
This, in my humble opinion, is genius. It allows for an instant response so that you’re not leaving the other party hanging, but at the same time keeps folks from texting while driving. This is only an idea at this point, but it is an idea that really has some merit. I hope the phone companies are listening ….
