Is it true that the HR24-200 is manufactured by Samsung? Where can I purchase this specific model? I particularly like Samsung products. Thanks

I've created an updated posting <a href=http://www.redh.com/?p=142 rel="nofollow">here</a>.

Yes, I think you have the right idea for Multi-Room Viewing. This is exactly what you can do with MRV.

So if I record a show in HD on the DVR in my living room but wish to view the show later via my non-HD DVR in the bedroom, will it play? I wouldn't be able to view it in HD, I realize that, but will it revert to standard def?

@michael You should be able to temporarily bypass the multiswitch with a coax barrel connector using one SAT line and the line going to your d12-100. Boot it up and it should take the download right away. Once it gets upgraded successfully you can put your multiswitch back the way it was.

Sounds like you need to get an upgraded multiswitch and possibly antenna. Otherwise you may continue to have this problem and potentially some other problems.

i have four d12-100 that have not been used and are very old. i would like to know how do i check the firmware and if it needed to be upgraded how do i do it. these receivers are used with a old multi-switch and they are not currently working (keeps asking for an upgrade, and once done it ask again to receive the upgrade again)

After reading the woes of dealing with a AT&T CSR who is more than likely located across the Atlantic AND who are clueless, I have had the same issues. It took me over 5 years to get my noisy line fixed. It was intermittent and only got noisy after a rain when the sun came out or the weather was warm and trying to convince the $^*&%^s in India that it was a LINE problem does tend to raise your blood pressure.

A tech did come out and removed 700 feet of bridge tap and I thought it was actually fixed, no such luck. FastForward to a few months ago and I think I had the same failure as you did but I can also use dial as a backup which did work. (I would suggest setting up a dial up since I use that modem for mainly for faxing now) My DSL speed is down now but the line is quite and the DSL modem stays locked up.

Am also thinking of U-verse BUT if the DSL service is so flaky how would U-verse perform over the same facilities?? It kinda scares me...
